Jane Cedar Physical Therapist Assistant Scholarship for Clinical Excellence

Jane Cedar was a dedicated physical therapist assistant instructor at MHCC, known for her unwavering passion for excellence. She established this award program to recognize PTA students who embody the values of the American Physical Therapy Association’s creed and demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. Through her leadership, Jane played a pivotal role in the growth of the MHCC PTA program and made a lasting impact on the presence and influence of PTAs within the community.

Criteria:
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to qualify for this scholarship.
• Declared major in Physical Therapist Assistant
• Must submit Clinical Performance Instrument (CPI)
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in the PTA program
• Must be a second year student (36+ credits completed) when the scholarship takes effect
• Must demonstrate financial need via the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or Oregon State Aid Application (ORSAA)

Requirements:
Once selected, the recipient must meet the following requirements in order to remain eligible for this scholarship.
• Must maintain part-time enrollment at MHCC (9+ credits per term) during each term the scholarship is in effect
• Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) as defined by the MHCC Office of Financial Aid (excludes maximum timeframe requirements)

Scholarship Details:
• Funds will be disbursed during fall term
• Scholarship funds must be used for tuition/fees only

Award amounts are subject to change based on availability of funds.
