Fuller Pitts Family Endowed Scholarship

MHCC GED Instructor Marilyn Pitts established this scholarship to honor her parents, Pansy (Fuller) Pitts and Kenneth Pitts. Although they didn’t attend college, they valued education. Throughout their lives, they worked hard to support their family, including their three daughters. Pansy found joy and spiritual comfort in music. She played both the piano and organ, and she loved hearing her daughters play the violin and piano. Kenneth fished for pleasure as well as sustenance for his family. He spent hundreds of hours fishing in the lakes and ponds of Kansas and Missouri. To honor Pansy (Fuller) Pitts and Kenneth Pitts, this scholarship is available to students majoring in MHCC’s Music and Fisheries programs.
